Assassination Nation
Another apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump occurred over the weekend, but fortunately nobody was harmed this time around.
- A Secret Service agent spotted an armed man near Trump’s golf course about 1,200 feet away from Trump. Agents fired at the gunman while Trump was quickly rushed to safety; the suspect fled without firing a shot.
- Thanks to a witness, authorities found the gunman 40 miles away within hours. He is a 58-year-old with a lengthy criminal past and a fixation with the Russo-Ukrainian War. In a strange twist, he appears to have been a former Trump supporter, writing that he regretted voting for him in 2016.
- Sources say Trump was in good spirits following the incident, joking that he was most upset he couldn’t finish golfing. Fellow Presidential nominee Kamala Harris released a statement condemning the attack and all political violence. The suspect has been charged with firearms offenses, but attempted murder is still on the table.

Lunch Launch
The most controversial YouTubers are teaming up, and we all should have seen it coming. MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI are collaborating to launch a Lunchables competitor which might promise more than it delivers.
- Lunchly is made up of MrBeast’s Feastables candy bars, Paul and KSI’s Prime Hydration beverages, and a small cold entree. It’s being marketed as a healthier option with fewer calories and sugar than Lunchables, the leader in children’s snack packs.
- Upon further inspection, it appears that the purported health benefits are solely due to Prime being a 10-calorie, near sugar-free drink. It has 50 fewer calories than Lunchables’ Capri Sun juice box, but the food in Lunchly’s pizza option actually has 20 more calories than Lunchables otherwise.
- The announcement has been met with backlash by many, as Prime faces a litany of lawsuits and MrBeast is embroiled in several personal scandals. Still, with 3 of the biggest YouTubers on the planet behind it, we’d be very surprised if Lunchly is anything other than a huge hit.

“The worst they can say is no!” Whoever told you that is a liar: a Colorado teenager is in the hospital after a homeowner shot him for asking if he could take pictures outside his house.
- The 17-year-old and a friend were leaving a note asking for permission to take homecoming photos outside of city councilman Brent Metz’s house. Metz saw the boys on a surveillance camera and rushed home, blocked them into his driveway, and fired a shot through the windshield.
- Metz claims he accidentally discharged his weapon, which shot the teen in the face. Despite facing serious injuries, the teen is expected to survive and has been discharged from the hospital.
- The councilmen’s defense didn’t stop him from getting arrested, as he was charged with 4 felonies for a possible 20+ year prison sentence. Ironically, the press is now lining up outside his house taking pictures as they please, and there’s nothing he can do about it.
